Since some major players left the market the demand and value of domestic manufacturers of packaging equipment for fish and seafood grown. These are only some reasons why this sector at Seafood Expo Russia 2022 will be bigger than ever.

Industry needs packaging

The infrastructure for the fishing industry is as important as the fishery itself, so it has an important place in the exposition and the business program of Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia. To ensure the development of the fishery complex, it is necessary to coordinate the entire chain from catching and growing fish to delivering it to the end consumer. One of the essential components of this chain is packaging.

In 2021, 45% of exhibitors needed packaging solutions. Today, because number of foreign partners have reduced or suspended their business in Russia, these figures may be even higher. So, the participants of future exhibition will focus on packaging materials and equipment for their production, especially for canned products.

The main consumers of packaging in the fishing industry are processors, fishers, traders and fish farmers. The largest of them annually participate in Seafood Expo Russia. In addition to the industry leaders, representatives of many small and medium-sized businesses also participate in Seafood Expo Russia and visit it.

Every year, the leaders of the packaging equipment segment participate in Seafood Expo Russia. In particular, these are Marel, Besteq Engineering, Saeplast, Teco+, Craemer, TARA.RU, Anion, iPlast, Soyuz Polymer, Profitex, Expo Market", "MP-Technologies", "Murmansk Tarny Combinat".

There will also be new exhibitors in 2022. Thus, Atlantis-Pack, Mosstroy-31 and the Format group of companies have already confirmed their participation.

In addition, the company produces sandwich panels that are used in the construction of warehouses, cold stores and other industrial buildings.

The FORMAT group of companies produces packaging for food, including fish products from expanded polystyrene. The company owns production facilities in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Omsk, it has more than 400 employees and 40 molding machines. In 2022, Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia will have an anniversary - the event will be held on September 21-23 in St. Petersburg for the fifth time.
